tATu

Notice how one of them looks like Geri Halliwell. Freaky, eh?
Anyway, the real reason I created this page is to tell you people to cut these girls some slack. They're no different from Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera, except that they wear far more clothes and that they're much better. "Paedophiliac pop", say The Telegraph? Bollocks! The idea of two schoolgirls kissing each other is nothing new, nor is the idea of Catholic-style school uniforms. Look at the video for Britney Spears' debut single, 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' (I certainly shall, you bitch). She's there, flaunting her body in a schoolgirl's uniform, and nobody objects. Why? Because they find it dead sexy, and she's American.
Whereas Julia Volkova (who, by the way, shares a birthday with Kris [bastard]) and Lena Katina are Russian. Still remembering the Cold War and Communism, eh, chaps? Old habits die hard, don't they?
I'll tell you something - fuck off, you boring, boring bastards.
Below is a shot from the infamous lesbian kiss scene from 'All The Things She Said'...

The second these two kissed was instantly considered the most controversial moment in music history. Bollocks. The video, like the song, is simply expressing one girl's love for another girl. tATu, in Russian, stands for 'this girl loves that girl'. So what? Who gives a shit? I don't! Should any of you?
I don't see in any way how this could promote paedophilia. And if it does (which it doesn't), you could say that many other things are paedophilic. Especially after the abductions, possible rapes and definite murders of Amanda Dowler, Danielle Jones and Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, the British public is in an hysteria about paedophiles. No-one trusts anyone any more, not any our most beloved musicians. I am not saying that paedophilia is a good thing, because, of course, it isn't, but I am saying that we must simply try to quell the pandemonium, because many children live their lives without fear of rape or molestation. I have heard that tATu encourage their younger, female fans to come dressed in these kinds of uniform to their concerts, which children's charities say could simply attract paedophiles. As much as I love them, I have to say that their actions are a bit irresponsible. If the fans didn't have to come dressed like them, it would probably be all right.
And now, papers are taking advantage of their unorthodox sexual orientation by exploiting their love affairs. For example, in the Friday 11th April 2003 print of the Daily Express, above an article describing tATu's racy antics on stage, they print a picture, in which the girls are said to be groping each other. Yet all I see is two girls kissing each other. I, for one, see no groping. False print, not that Dirty Desmond would mind anyway.
And if that's not enough, the front cover of Adult Sport magazine, which comes with the Daily Sport, my most despised of papers, if it is a paper, shows tATu naked, their private parts modestly covered by the headline 'TATU NAKED - EXCLUSIVE PICS'. First of all, it's staged. It is blatantly obvious that it is not tATu at all, but a couple of models who look only vaguely like them. Secondly, even if it is tATu, the Sport is printing child pornography, as one of them is 17, and you must, by law, be 18 and over to appear in adult material. Thirdly, have these paprazzi nothing better to do than to pry into teenagers' sex lives? Sure, they've caused a bit of a stir, but try to act like men, guys, and not like little boys.
There have also been a number of questions raised ever since they came on the scene. Isn't their manager, Ivan Shapovolov, a manipulator of teenage flesh? Isn't this just use of sexuality to sell records? Just shut up! If the second claim is true, then let us burn Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, any superstar that has, as Bang magazine puts it, 'stirred our sex organs'. True, tATu are as sexy as they come, but that's not what's important. What is important is the music. Is it a crime to put out a product that is 'beautiful, powerful, controversial, political and massively popular' at the same time? Of course not, so just shut it.
Most importantly, despite the bitching these two have received, the public don't give a flying monkey's arse. In reaction to their records, they go out and buy them in their millions. I plan to purchase the album myself.
Sure, they've done a few revealing shoots, but who hasn't? If two Russian girls wish to declare their love for one another, through the magic of the media, then let them. They present no threat to your children. Besides, their music's pretty good.
