THE HYDE PARK PEACE MARCH

On Saturday 15th February, more than 500,000 people converged on London to participate in a march organised by the Stop the War Coalition, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and the Muslim Association of Britain. This will be a short article, because I have only one thing to say.

The Candyman made the journey to the march, and joined many other people in Hyde Park. But the thing that gets to me is that it was completely overlooked. Tony Blair took no notice of the thing at all, even though it resulted in the closure of many roads to allow the protestors to proceed. Half a million people took time out of their weekend to campaign for Iraqi people's definite safety, and it was just ignored. Open your eyes, Mr. Blair! Your country needed you, and you turned your back on them! Wake up!
